The 2011 season brought RSRacecraft, not only one rider who needed a bike built, but four!  We achieved success early on by winning our first AMA Daytona Sportbike race… the Daytona 200! With a cinderella tale of a story highlighting a crew that never gave up and a rider that gave his all on a finish that every enthusiast dreams of.  In addition to Jason DiSalvo who campaigning our Daytona Sportbike effort Latus Motors Racing added two XR1200 entries with Joe Kopp & Chase McFarland.  Joe Kopp had a podium finish at Daytona as well finishing 3rd in the first road race of his career.
Jason went on to take back to back wins at Infineon Raceway. After achieving Ducati’s first Daytona 200 win, it was apparent we would still not be getting manufacturer support. Being a small team with big dreams funded primarily by George Latus and product sponsors meant finding a manufacturer who wanted to support our efforts was crucial to the lively hood of this team.  Since the closure of Buell Motorcycle Company and the relationship we had in 2009 finally found a partnership and motorcycle manufacturer who was willing to lend support.  Latus Motors Racing powered by RSRacecraft partnered with Triumph Motorcycles.
Up and coming Supersport rider, Dustin Dominguez was added to the team at Infineon as a development rider to help bring the Triumph 675R to the podium.   Dustin went on to take 2nd at Road America and achieve Triumph’s first win in AMA since 1999 at Mid Ohio.  Steady progress was made to prepare the Triumph for the Daytona Sportbike platform.  Jason debuted the Triumph 675R in DSB at the season finale race in New Jersey finishing 7th.
2011 was a successful season for the team with both Jason & Dustin finishing 4th in their championship series.  Chase McFarland in his rookie season finished in the top ten of the XR 1200 championship with an impressive 8th.
